Seyyane Matthew's off to a great start in 2026.
On Saturday at Ferris State, she put 21 points on the Bulldogs (14-4, 7-2 GLIAC)Â and pulled down four rebounds with a blocked shot. While Lake Superior State (5-13, 2-8 GLIAC) lost 90-59 to FSU, Matthew's performance continued a strong run of play by the first-year forward. Clare Conzelmann scored 11 for the Lakers with three rebounds, two assists and four steals.
The Lakers forced plenty of turnovers, recording 10 steals on 20 total Bulldog giveaways. And LSSU shot an efficient 86% at the free throw line.
Grace Bradford scored nine points and grabbed three rebounds. She's up to 978 career rebounds, drawing closer to the program record of 1,000.
