HOUGHTON, Mich. - The Lake Superior State women's tennis team lost its last regular-season Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference match 8-1 Saturday at Michigan Tech.

Kaitlynn Hutchinson provided LSSU with its only win of the match. Hutchinson (Cadillac, Mich.) defeated MTU at No. 6 singles, 6-0, 6-2.

The Lakers ended the fall portion of the season 5-8 overall and 3-8 in the GLIAC. They received word Monday that they will receive a berth in this weekend's GLIAC Tournament due to league newcomer Ohio Dominican being ineligible for this year's playoffs. LSSU will be the No. 8 seed.
