MIDLAND - Erin Wiethoff and Kaitlynn Hutchinson won in straight sets at Nos. 5 and 6 singles for the Lake Superior State women's tennis team, which lost a team dual at Northwood Friday, 7-2.

Wiethoff claimed a 6-4, 6-2 victory at No. 5, and Hutchinson won 6-4, 6-2 at No. 2. Northwood (9-1 overall and 9-1 in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference) swept doubles.

LSSU (5-6 overall, 3-6 GLIAC) plays at Saginaw Valley State at 10 a.m. Saturday.
