SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. - Lake Superior State's women's tennis team lost its first home match of the 2010 season. Grand Valley State defeated the Lakers, 9-0, in conference play Friday at the Arbuckle Student Activity Center.

LSSU's No. 1  doubles team of Adriennne DiVito (Washington, Mich.) and Katie Watchorn (Sault Ste. Marie, Mich.), and the No. 3 duo of Tess Marton (Toronto, Ont.) and Kaitlynn Hutchinson (Cadillac, Mich.) lost to GVSU, 8-5.

The Lakers will be home Saturday against Ferris State at 10 a.m. in the SAC.
