SANDUSKY, Ohio - Lake Superior State defeated Tiffin 8-1 during Saturday's women's tennis match. The Lakers improved to 4-4 in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference matches and 9-4 overall.

The Lakers swept Tiffin in doubles play. The No. 2 doubles duo of Erin Anderson-Scott (Hamilton, New Zealand) and Kaitlynn Hutchinson (Cadillac, Mich.) shut down Tiffin, 8-0. Anderson-Scott and Hutchinson are now 10-3 overall at No. 2 doubles.

Tess Marton (Toronto, Ont.), playing No. 3 singles, defeated Tiffin ,6-2, 6-3. Meagan Grey (Munising, Mich.), at No. 6, defeated the Dragons, 6-2, 6-0. All five LSSU singles wins were in straight sets.

The Lakers play their final road match of regular season at Findlay Oct. 2.
