SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. - Lake Superior State lost to Northwood University, 8-1, Friday at the Arbuckle Student Activity Center. The Timberwolves have a perfect 8-0 record this season. LSSU is now 10-5 overall and 5-5 in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

Tess Marton (Toronto, Ont.) grabbed the Lakers' only win over Northwood. Marton defeated NU 6-2, 6-2 at No. 3 singles.

The Lakers play home Oct. 8 against Saginaw Valley at 11 a.m.
