BIG RAPIDS, Mich.- Lake Superior State lost to Ferris State in a
tight women's tennis match Thursday. The Bulldogs defeated
LSSU, 5-4, at FSU's Racquet and Fitness Center.
Erin Anderson-Scott (Hamilton, New Zealand) defeated the
Bulldogs at No. 2 singles 6-2, 6-4. The only other Laker to top
Ferris State during singles play was Kaitlynn Hutchinson (Cadillac,
Mich.) at No. 4 singles, 6-4, 6-3.
No. 1 doubles of Adrienne DiVito (Washington, Mich.) and Tess
Marton (Toronto, Ont.) were victorious over the Bulldogs, 8-5.
Anderson-Scott and Hutchinson defeated FSU at No. 2
doubles,8-4.
The Lakers are now7-2 overall and 2-2 in the Great Lakes
Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. LSSU continues road play Sept.
23 at Grand Valley and Sept. 24 at Hillsdale.
