SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. - The Lake Superior State women's tennis team finished the regular season with an 8-1 loss to Northwood Sunday at the Arbuckle Student Activity Center.

Northwood is undefeated 14-0 overall and in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. The Lakers are 10-9 overall and 6-8 GLIAC.

Freshman Lucy LaCosta (San Diego, Calif.) was the lone LSSU winner. LaCosta defeated NU, 6-2, 7-5, at No. 5 singles. LaCosta is 11-7 overall and 7-6 GLIAC for the season.
