SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. - Lake Superior State opened Great Lakes
Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play at home against the Tiffin
Dragons Friday. The Lakers suffered a tight 5-4 loss to Tiffin.
LSSU went 2-1 in doubles play with an 8-3 victory at No. 1 from
senior Erin Anderson-Scott and sophomore Sarah Awe. The duo of Tess
Marton and Teodora Gavric came out on top, 8-6, at No. 3
doubles.
In singles, Anderson-Scott was victorious, 6-2, 6-1 at No. 2.
Holly Daniel rounded out LSSU's wins with a 6-4, 6-2 victory at No.
5.
LSSU is home Saturday against Ohio Dominican and Sunday against
Ashland. Both matches will be played in the Arbuckle Student
Activity Center at 10 a.m.
