ALMA, Mich.- Lake Superior State women's tennis program completed the weekend on the road with their second consecutive win, this time defeating Alma College by a score of 7-2. The Lakers once again dispatched their competition in convincing fashion.

In singles, the Lakers were able to blank the Scots in straight sets for the first five matches. Once again, the Lakers were without a sixth player which cost them a forfeit on the sixth match.Senior Kaitlynn Hutchinson was impressive in singles after defeating Chloe Ramsey 6-0, 6-0. Tess Marton, another senior, was also dominant in her victory over Nicki Malekadeli.

Junior Erin Anderson-Scott and sophomore Sarah Awe delivered a shutout victory over Magan Solano and Morgan Waier of Alma 8-0. In the second match Hutchinson and Holly Daniel combined to defeat Lauren Moreau and Malekadeli 8-2. Once again, the Lakers were forced to forfeit the final doubles match due to a shortage of players. The Lakers proved to be unfazed by the pair of forfeits as they cruised in their victory over the Scots.
