SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich.- Lake Superior State women's tennis
dropped their first game of the weekend home stand by falling to
Saginaw Valley State 7-2. The Lakers were lead by junior Sarah
Awe but came up short during the singles competition.
Awe and doubles partner, senior Erin Anderson-Scott, combined to win the first doubles
pairing by a score of 8-5. The Cardinals, however, would go on to
win the other two doubles matches.
In singles competion it was Awe winning 6-3, 6-0 giving the
Lakers their only win. Anderson-Scott won her first set before
falling in the final two sets.
The Lakers are back in action on sunday when they face Northwood
beginning at 10 am.
